Hot summers, cold winters
Tamworth summers push panels hard. Output is rated at a cell temperature of 25 degrees and drops as cells heat beyond it, so on a 38 degree afternoon a cheap panel with a poor temperature coefficient gives away real production. The N type panels we install are chosen partly for their low temperature coefficients. Winter flips the equation: frosty mornings and clear inland skies keep cells cool and output per watt strong, with the shorter day handled by sizing.
